1. We the undersigned are opposed to the closing of Crystal Springs Park.

We would like to see it reopened immediately. We have grown up going to this park and feel it is outlandish to lock the gates forever. All the while, a tax break is being granted by the Pasco County Commission, of approximately $40,000 of our tax money, to Mr. Robert Thomas ( a millionaire ) for a "public park".

2. We the undersigned are opposed to the permit to increase pumping from Crystal Springs.

Pasco and Hillsborough County are on severe water restriction. Crystal Springs is the headwaters of the Hillsborough River. The clean pure water that dilutes the contaminated process water from the phosphate company that dumps into the Hillsborough River approximately 1/4 mile up stream from Crystal Springs belongs to the river, not Zephyrhills Bottled Water Company.

Tampa depends on this flow for their drinking water supply. It will cost the people 7 million dollars to replace this water, Perrier-- Zephyrhills Bottled Water will make 800 million dollars a year on this "deal". Please deny this permit to protect Crystal Springs and the Hillsborough River for generations to come. We suggest you do not wait until there is irreversible damage done by this withdrawal.
